Eco-friendly gift wrapping
Christmas is just around the corner and with it comes the excitement for lovely wrapped presents! However, by unwrapping these festive surprises, the amount of wrapping paper increases. The short joyful moment of unwrapping is followed by throwing it in the trash shortly after. But do not worry! There are many wonderful ideas to wrap your gifts sustainably that are both environmentally friendly and creative. In this blog entry we have collected some inspiring ideas to make your gift wrapping experience environmentally friendly and pleasant.
Reuse paper
Instead of using normal wrapping paper you can, for example, reuse previously used paper or buy a recycled one. You may also use material that you already have at home to prevent buying something new. Suitable alternatives to regular paper are newspaper, packing paper or shoe boxes. If you find these options too plain, we recommend using our Christmas public transport stickers to decorate gifts and add a special Wiener Linien touch.
Fabric as an alternative
Another possibility for wrapping gifts sustainably is to use fabric. This is a great way to make use of old fabrics or cloths that you no longer have any use for! You can cut the fabric according to your needs and wrap it around the gift. Similarly, you can also use a regular bag, a tote bag, or a designated gift bag. You can even find some of these products in our fanshop.
Gift within a gift
If you want to surprise you loved ones with more than one thing, you can use part of the gift as packing. You can for example opt for our cookie tin with underground plan or bau.Art cappuccino cup to hide smaller treats inside. By doing so you do not need packaging at all.
