Next stop: Sustainability
We have set ourselves the goal of producing all our fan merchandise as sustainably as possible. It will take many big and small steps to achieve this. We'll take you with us on our sustainability journey: Please get in - next stop - sustainability.
Stop 1: Environmentally friendly materials and packaging
We rely on environmentally friendly materials. We already do this very well in the fashion sector, where we only commission producers who use GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic cotton or recycled materials. We also make our plush models from 100% recycled materials. For packaging, we use paper, cardboard or environmentally friendly plastics wherever possible.
Station 2: Transparency
Transparent production processes and declaration of origin are also very important to us. Many of our articles go through numerous production steps. We scrutinize these individual steps and endeavour to the best of our knowledge and belief to show where and under what circumstances the products are manufactured.
Station 3: Short transportation routes
Short transportation routes are a major challenge for consumer goods. Many products are not manufactured in Europe or only at very high prices. However, where a balanced price-performance ratio is also available in Europe, we always prefer this option.
Station 4: Durable products
Product quality is also very important to us. Before an item goes into production, we put the samples through their paces to ensure that the quality meets our standards. For us, sustainability also means commissioning products that have a long service life and give our customers pleasure for a long time.
Station 5: Small quantities & fair pricing
We currently produce our items in comparatively small quantities. There is a simple reason for this: we want to avoid overproduction - because this is also an important aspect of sustainability. Due to the small production quantities and individualization, we pay higher prices. We also attach great importance to sustainable standards and top quality, which often leads to higher prices for our customers. Our aim is to ensure fair conditions and prices for everyone involved in the value chain, including our customers. You can be sure that our products are worth every penny.
Do you find items in our range that do not meet these criteria?
Yes, unfortunately this is (still) the case. We carry products that have been in stock for some time and do not meet our new standards. However, disposing of these items would not be in the interests of sustainability either. We are continuously working on making our range more sustainable and hope that it will ultimately meet our criteria 100%.
