bau.ART hammam towel
-
The hammam towel from the Wiener Linien bau.ART collection is a tribute to the architect Otto Wagner, who gave Vienna’s underground stations a unique look in addition to a large number of famous buildings. The famous chequerboard pattern of the floor tiles still adorns many stations along the U4 and U6 underground lines today. The aesthetically pleasing pattern and the high-quality fabric of the cloth satisfy even the highest demands.

Space-saving, absorbent and quick-drying, they are also the ideal companion for every outing or when travelling. The hammam towel has its origins in the Turkish steam bath (the hammam), whose visitors are wrapped in light towels made of flat cotton fabric to be absorbent on the one hand and to dry quickly on the other. Thanks to these properties, hammam towels are not only used in steam baths, but are also popular as a towel, blanket or scarf.
